Lake Williams

Lake Williams is a small valley located adjacent to State Highway 38, at the far southeastern edge of the Big Bear Valley.  A subdivision of custom homes surrounds small “Lake” Williams itself, which is normally dry.

Because of its proximity to the high desert, Lake Williams offers a less-forested landscape, with ironwood and sage predominating.  Because of the location, the area also typically receives less snowfall than the Big Bear Lake area.

Surrounded on all sides by open acreage and National Forest, access to hiking, biking and horseback trails abounds, and it is close to the Pacific Crest Trail.  With just a few blocks to Hwy 38 from any home, it’s quick and easy to “head down the hill” to Redlands, or into the Big Bear City and Big Bear Lake districts.

Lake Williams’ residents enjoy a “wide open spaces” feel with nice views of the surrounding mountains, plenty of sunshine, wide streets and large parcels.  The roads are paved and maintained, and wind through the meadow-like setting.

Most of the homes in the area are mid-size and are suitable for either permanent or vacation lifestyles.  The designs range from log-style to traditional and upscale manufactured homes.

Lake Williams is serviced by Bear Valley Electric, and water is provided by the City of Big Bear Lake DWP.  Propane is provided via delivery from two Big Bear Lake companies.

The area is known for its quiet atmosphere, low-density, and a rural feel while having all the advantages of conventional neighborhood living.  If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy wide-open vistas, go give Lake Williams a look!
