We feel fortunate to enjoy the holidays in the mountains. Here is a list of the major events going on around the Big Bear Valley. If you are new to the mountains, remember all activities are weather dependent. Check the forecast before leaving and carry chains throughout the winter season.

The Community Arts Theater presents, “Christmas in the Mountains.”

This is a musical variety show featuring an original play, “Scrooge of Starvation Flats.”

The show is at the town hall, in the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center.

Evening performances are; Nov. 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 26, 29, 30 at 7:30pm.

Afternoon performances are; Nov. 17 & 24, and Dec. 1 at 1:30pm.

All performances are reserved seating, and prices, depending on date and location of seats, range from:

$16 to $28 for Adults

$15 to $26 for Seniors

$9 to $19 for Kids under the age of 18.

Santa’s Grand Entrance and Tree Lighting

The fun begins Friday, November 29th, at 5:00 PM with entertainment.

Santa and Mrs Claus arrive at 6:00 PM.

Arrive early, park at the Visitor’s Center and get a good spot at the corner of Village Drive and Pine Knot.

Mountain Christmas Boutique

At the Big Bear Convention Center – Friday, Nov. 29th through Sunday, Dec. 1st.

They have a great selection of hand-made artisans and ready made gifts.

Admission is $3 and children under 12 are FREE. 909-585-3000

“Big Bear Loves Chocolate”

At Bed & Breakfasts, Copper Q and Sugar Pine Bakery

Are you a chocolate lover? Don’t miss this local holiday favorite.

On December 7th, the Bed and Breakfasts’ partner with several talented bakeries for a self-guided tour to pick up delectable chocolate treats!

Tour begins at 1:00 PM and goes until 4:00 PM.

Classic Movie Night

At the Cave. “White Christmas” – December 11th at 6:30 PM.

The Cave in the Village presents “White Christmas”.

Admission: $5 Children 5 and under, FREE.

Doors Open: 5:30 PM. Show Starts at 6:30 PM.

Adult Beverages and food available. The Cave is located at 40789 Village Drive.

Jim Curry’s “John Denver Christmas”

At the Cave – Saturday, December 14th at 6:00 PM.

Jim Curry is renowned for his John Denver music. His holiday show promises to be exciting!

Doors open at 6pm. Concert starts at 8pm.

Classic Movie Night

At the Cave. Wednesday, December 18th, 6:30 PM.

“Miracle on 34th Street”

Enjoy the holiday spirit with this movie classic!

Admission: $5 Children 5 and under, FREE.

Doors Open: 5:30 PM. Show Starts at 6:30 PM.

Adult Beverages and food available.

“It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Possibly the best movie of the holiday season.

At the Cave. Christmas Day Evening, December 25th.

The Cave is a new, intimate music venue in Big Bear that promises to bring you up close and personal with its performers.

Doors open at 6pm. Concert starts at 8pm.
