Big Bear Lake, East
Big Bear Lake East is home to some of Big Bear’s newer neighborhoods with Big Bear Boulevard running through the middle. The area is bordered by the San Bernardino National Forest to the south, Big Bear Lake to the north, and runs east from the Village area to Fox Farm, Moonridge, and Big Bear City.
Snow Summit is this area’s biggest attraction and during the winter months the resort is packed with skiers and snowboarders from all over Southern California. Vacation rentals in this area enjoy a high occupancy rate during the ski season. The spring, summer, and fall months are definitely quieter but the resort has developed an extensive network of mountain biking trails that are accessed by a converted chair lift. Mountain bikes and riders are transported to the top of the mountain and gravity does the rest.

Meadow Park and Swim Beach are located near the Eagle Point peninsula and are popular destinations for local families. The park has swing sets, jungle gyms, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, sports fields, and lots of open space. Swim Beach opens in May and provides a safe swimming environment for kids of all ages. Big Bear’s main shopping centers are located here, anchored by K-Mart, Vons, DIY Home Center, and Stater Bros.
