The Best In Show Is First To Go

Everyone knows it is tough to sell a home in this market.  It is not impossible though.

While there are some things you cannot control, like location, there are certainly some other things that you can.   The asking price, the overall property condition, showing restrictions and the like are all things well within a seller’s choice to make. Whether they decide to make the right choice is up to them.

The two most important factors in getting a home sold in today’s market are price & condition. If you have the best price in your neighborhood or home category, along with the best curb appeal & overall condition, you can be sure to get your property sold.

I understand that some people don’t want, or cannot afford, to sell for a lower price than they want or need. But, there are no guarantees with real estate.  Just like other products, the value of your property depends on supply and demand.  If there is no demand, your asking price needs to come down.

Obviously, marketing & exposure are important, but no amount of exposure will sell an overpriced or unsightly property.  It just won’t happen with today’s price-conscious buyer.
